Why do we eat pancakes on Shrove Tuesday?
It was the last chance for a spot of indulgence before 40 days of fasting, and an opportunity to use up food that could not be
eaten during Lent.

This included eggs, bacon, sausage, fat, and milk, which were made into pancakes and eaten on the day before Ash Wednesday when Lent began.

We are looking for cooks, prep and servers and of coursehelping hands to clean up.

A signup list for volunteers is posted in the Narthex along with a signup list for who will be attending.

February 15, during fellowship a brief meeting will be held to review and plan the event.
