On Sunday, September 14, our formal anniversary celebration, we will welcome:
The Rt. Rev. Wendell Gibbs, retired Bishop as Celebrant.
Ordained to the priesthood in 1987, Bishop Gibbs served congregations in the Dioceses of Chicago and Central New York, and was serving as Rector of St. Andrew’s, Cincinnati, when he was elected bishop in October 1999. On February 5, 2000, Wendell N. Gibbs, Jr. was consecrated as Bishop Coadjutor of the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. He was seated as the Tenth Bishop of the Diocese on November 4, 2000. Bishop Gibbs resigned (retired) effective January 1, 2020. Bishop Gibbs now lives in the Columbus area and remains active within our Diocese as assisting Bishop.
The Reverend T. Conrad Selnick who served as the mission developer for St. Andrew’s from 1985-1990, as our Preacher.
And our own Deacon Gayland Trim will also be joining us!
