Sacred Worth:
The Church’s Call to Respond to Sexual Violence
Thursday evening, Sept 25, 6:30 -7:30PM
How can the church serve as a beacon of healing and hope for those impacted by sexual violence?
In this Bible study, we will explore how faith communities can affirm the sacred worth of all by recognizing, preventing, and responding to sexual violence.
Together, we will discover ways to cultivate a culture of compassion, foster self-worth in survivors, and embody Christ’s call to love and justice.
This Bible study will be facilitated by Staci Stought, a student at Luther Seminary (St. Paul, MN) and retired Sexual Assault Police Officer. Staci is the current Pastoral Care Minister at Messiah Lutheran Church, and a Trauma Chaplain for co-victims of homicide due to gender-based violence and oppression in the
Trauma Recovery Center at Grant Hospital.
