Receive the canonically required anti-racism certification by completing this course via Zoom with Miriam McKenney, Missioner for Beloved Community, and co-leaders. Miriam uses picture books in this training to discover, explore, discuss, and share stories. We’ll explore topics you may not have learned about in your formal education but are crucial to our understanding as we work to repair, heal, and see God in each other.
This course is on Thursday evenings, November 6, 13, and 20, from 6–8 p.m. Eastern. Bring your dinner! We will share stories, scripture, and solutions to dismantle racism in our corner of God’s creation.
Attend all sessions for certification. You can make up a session in the future if you miss one.
Register for this training here.
Email Miriam McKenney to learn more.
If this training is full, sign up for the waiting list here.

On October 5, the Celtic Service will begin its thirteenth year with its traditional October celebration of all creatures great and small in honor of St. Francis.
The Celtic service is a quiet, meditative service with music, prayers of concern with the lighting of candles, a time of silence, and affirmations of faith based on the liturgy of the Iona Abbey Worship Book. The service is 40 – 45 minutes long and is followed by a time of fellowship and hospitality. Please come and celebrate God’s creatures with us on October 5th.
Like in previous years, we would like to ask you to donate some spare change to purchase cat and dog food for the Worthington Food Pantry. They are always delighted to have food for the pets of their clients on hand.
