Priest In Charge – Pastor Sally Cook

The Reverend Sally Cook was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She is a graduate of Valparaiso University with degrees in Psychology and Theology.  She received her Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio.  Prior to entering the ordained ministry, she worked as a Pediatric Social Worker in Hospice and Hospital settings.  Pastor Sally has served congregations in the Greater Tampa Bay area, Orlando, Sarasota, and most recently in Wellington, Florida. She has served the wider church as a member of the Florida Bahamas Synod Council and had the privilege of serving as a voting member to the 2013 ELCA Churchwide Assembly when The Reverend Elizabeth Eaton was elected as the first female presiding Bishop of the ELCA.

Pastor Sally and her husband Greg have been married for 34 years. Greg works remotely as a Manager of Organizational Improvement and Productivity for Junior Achievement of South Florida. Pastor Sally and Greg are living in Pickerington and are pleased to be a part of the St Andrew’s community of faith.

 

Missy Greenleaf Flinn, Communications Specialist

Missy is an award-winning communications specialist, creative leader, teacher, and community advocate with over three decades of nonprofit leadership. She is also a published writer, photographer, and editor. In 2017, following God’s call, she left her career in the arts and culture nonprofit sector to pursue a path to the priesthood in the Episcopal Church. She graduated with an MDiv from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio with specialties in biblical languages & texts and ecology & justice. Now, she is pursuing a Doctor of Theology degree at Kairos University/Northwind Theological Seminary. She is a member of Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square, where she serves on the flower guild, and as an altar server, lector, and teacher.

Missy is passionate about creation care, agrarian ministry, gardening, and listening to people’s stories. She lives with her husband Marc, daughter Jean, and their two dogs, Henry and Virgil, and plus-size cat Mustard in the heart of the Short North. She is happy to be serving at St. Andrew’s working on weekly and long-term communications for this loving community.

Eric Saupe, Minister of Music

The son of a Lutheran Pastor, Eric started playing the organ at his home church in London, OH at the age of 15.  He graduated from Wittenberg with a degree in Sociology and a Music Minor in 1986.  While at Wittenberg he studied Organ privately with Trudy Faber.   Eric has served as Organist for Lutheran congregations in Hagerstown, MD, Dayton, OH, Middletown, OH and most recently served for 15 years at Lord of Life Lutheran in Columbus, OH.  Eric and his husband, Derek moved to the Hocking Hills area in May of 2020.  He was the Administrator at Embassy of Pickerington for the last 6 years and is now working with Crestview Rehab and Nursing Care as the Director of Social Services.   Eric also has 2 adult daughters, Kristin, from Columbus and Caitlin, from Boston.
